Lukwago, a respected figure in Uganda’s legal and political spheres, has long served as a lead counsel in high-profile cases, including those involving former presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye.
As a former Lord Mayor of Kampala, he earned a reputation for principled leadership and advocacy for democratic governance and citizens’ rights.
Reports indicate that his abduction by security operatives occurred as he prepared to serve court summons related to ongoing legal matters involving General Muhoozi.
