Uganda Law Society demands Lukwago's release, issue a 24 hour ultimatum

Uganda’s Law Society issued a 24-hour ultimatum for the unconditional release of Erias Lukwago, former Kampala mayor and acting PFF president, abducted from his Wakaliga home by armed men in military uniform.

Lukwago, a lawyer on Kizza Besigye’s legal team, was targeted amid efforts to serve court summons related to opposition cases, prompting ULS secretary Babu Ssali to threaten action against the Chief of Defence Forces and international legal steps.
