Nairobi, Kenya: A man almost lost his precious life after a botched and desperate attempt to boost the size of his manhood including performance in bed. Details of the case published in the International Journal of Surgery reveal that it took an urgent and delicate operation by specialist surgeons at the Kenyatta National Hospital to save the 26 year old man.
The man, whose name was kept confidential, had inserted a metallic ring around the base of his manhood in what he believed would make his organ bigger and better in bed. The ring was half a centimeter thick. But tragically, the ring got stuck causing his manhood to swell significantly, leaving him in piercing pain and even unable to pass urine.
The dubious ring had come as part of a manhood enlargement kit that he had apparently purchased. "The kit had instructions that the ring should be placed around the base of the sexual organ for three hours every two weeks. Such rings are used to prolong male erections by reducing the blood flow of blood out of the manhood," wrote the doctors in the journal article.
They added: "The patient had been instructed to insert the penile ring then stimulate an erection for duration of three hours every two weeks. This regime would increase the length and thickness of his penis."
