There at the (Dar es Salaam) a i r p o r t , we
m e t Nyerere waiting f o r us, Karume and
Nyerere went i n the same P r e s i d e n t i a l car w i t h a flag on it. (For me) they brought
a very old Land Rover which (was used) f o r
c a r r y i n g stones. I remained completely
o u t of s i g h t of them.
The next morning at the airport
I m e t Karume who was ready to get i n the
plane to leave f o r Zanzibar. Neither
Karume nor Nyerere spoke to me. From
t h e a i r p o r t , I l e f t w i t h Nyerere, going
round (the c i t y ) to see every p a r t of
it.
