Wakuu ktk nia nzuri ya kumsaidia Mh. Ktk ujenzi wa taifa nitakuhadithieni stori ya kisiwa kimoja huko Scotland, je ni vipi wameweza kupambana na tatizo la umeme, Na njia gani wametumia mpaka kufanikiwa kuzalisha umeme wao nje ya national grid supply yaani kama hii yetu Tanesco kwa kutumia renewable energy sources.
Eigg ni kisiwa kidogo chenye wakazi wasiozidi 150, yenye eneo za mraba zisizozidi 30, wakazi wa kijiji hiki kwa ushirikiano wao binafsi wameweza kuliondoa tatizo la umeme kwa zaidi ya asilimia 95.
Hawa wanakijiji wameunda kampuni yao binafsi ya kutengeneza umeme kwa kutumia vitu ambavyo sio vingeni kwetu, Jua, upepo na maji au renewable energy to be precise.
Kumbuka kwamba hicho kijiji utokaji wa jua ni mdogo sana kwa mwaka mara nyingi ni wakati wa kiangazi kwa muda usiozidi miezi mitatu, upepo wao haufikii wa Tanzania Na mito yao sio yenye ukubwa Na nguvu kama yetu sisi hapa Tanzania. Lakini wameweza kudunduliza umeme kutoka sources zote tatu, Yaani jua, maji Na upepo na kufanikiwa kuuingiza kwenye community grid Na Kusambaza kwa wakazi Na biashara zao, kwa bei ya chini kabisa.
Watu wa nchi mbali mbali wameshapitia kwenye hichi kisiwa kutaka kufahamu, how they did it, Yaani mpaka Malawi imeshapeleka team Scotland kufanya preliminary studies and fact findings, Yaani Mh. hii Malawi inatupiga bao la mkono siku zote. Lol
Sasa tuje kwa upande wetu,
Naelewa wazi kwa Tz, pesa ya kufanya yote haya hatuna lakini kama serikali itakua smart and willing to innovate, wanaweza kuanzisha hata pilot system on renewable energy in partnership Na private sectors, finding strategic village somewhere ukiondoa chato, lol, and do the right thing, i.e. Community grid of some sort, replicating what's these villagers did in solving their problems, and do exact the same to one of our village by self financing, charging the community at subsidised rate.
In this way once successfully, we will encourage private sectors to enter in some sort of partnership with the government in doing the same for other places.
There is no harm trying Mh.
Second solution, and this can be done now! Let the hybrid technology go mainstream, i.e. Combination of both, electricity generated using solar panels in our roof tops and that coming from the national grid, i.e. tanesco.
The government can help by zero rated on VAT and import charges for a certain period of time to encourage the residents particularly from urban areas to go hybrid.
Tanesco can be given the outright monopoly for now, only for now! I insist, until the understanding of the technology become main stream, regulating technological competency through training and after service sales, this way will create more businesses and encourage innovations.
Allowing colleges with subsidised cost by providing tax incentives to teach our children on renewable energy technologies, in order to make us competency, innovative and renewable in some sort.
You never know, we might have our own wind turbine industry, si ndio sera za Mh, viwanda viwanda, and we will start selling the technology and know how to neighbouring countries.
