PETITION TITLE:
Stand with Tanzanians: We Need Protection from State-Driven Oppression
PETITION BODY:
We, the people of Tanzania, both at home and in the diaspora, submit this urgent petition to international human rights organizations, the United Nations, and the global community at large. We call upon you to take immediate action to protect the lives and dignity of Tanzanian citizens who are increasingly subjected to state-sponsored oppression and abuse.
OUR CONCERNS:
Over recent months, there has been a disturbing rise in:
Excessive force used against peaceful protesters and unarmed civilians.
Arbitrary arrests of opposition leaders, activists, and journalists.
Torture, intimidation, and mistreatment of citizens by security forces.
Suppression of freedom of expression, the press, and peaceful assembly.
WE URGE THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY TO:
1. Initiate an independent international investigation into human rights violations in Tanzania.
2. Exert diplomatic and economic pressure on Tanzanian authorities responsible for these abuses.
3. Demand that the Tanzanian Government uphold the rule of law and basic human rights.
4. Consider, where necessary, intervention mechanisms — such as international observers or protection missions — should the situation escalate further.
IN CONCLUSION:
Justice, peace, and freedom are not privileges — they are fundamental human rights. We call on all advocates for justice, inside and outside Tanzania, to stand with us by signing and sharing this petition. The time to act is now — before the situation worsens beyond repair.
