We are told that Al Shaaba is surviving and financing their terror operations through selling “VINANA” i.e elephant tasks collected cheaply from poachers. In the last year alone it has been estimated that a consignment of value between $200,000-600,000 were sold by Al Shaabab. Take in mind Somalia do not have elephants so the possible sources are Kenya and Tanzania!

When a Christian converts into Al Shaabab’s ideology she/he almost become a new bread of dangerous animal and lose humanity. The planner of the attack Samantha Lewthwaite “White widow” was a Christian and similarly the Westgate Operation Leader who took a Jihadi fighting name as Omar or Umayr was a Christian pious before rebelling Kenya's Special Forces and crossed to Al Shaabab.

• Al Shaabab Faith is a Multinational without dual membership

The gang accommodates more than 500 foreigners. Specifically to Westgate attack, the planner was Samantha Lewthwaite, a British-origin while Operation leader was a Kenyan who previously served in the Special force units.

• Corruption collapses national, public and individual securities

Intel has it that security officers in Kenya used to knock the gates of Samantha’s house and other Al Shaabab attackers only to collect bribes in dollars and go! Al Shaabab has reiterated that they will continue to enjoy life in Kenya and attack more places so longer as Kenyans continue to elect corrupt leaders and corrupt system remains in power. Al Shaabab swagger that they have dollars ready at their gates for Kenyan corrupt security officers.

• In security, negligence is expensive

Good people had submitted several alerts and tips on the Westgate incident to Kenyan security units yet little is known to have been done in prevention of the calamity! The timeline of Al Shaabab twitter handle showed (before twitter blocked it) that ten days before the tragedy, Al Shaabab posted a statement cheering their speculation to massacre +50 Non-Muslim Kenyans and Foreigners in Kenya in few coming days. Similarly, some few days before this post, a Kenyan Lady Lamzana had also warned people in social media that she had information from a reliable source that Al Shaabab will definitely carry a terror attack either in Mombasa or Nairobi. Senator Mike Sonko received the same information which he passed to the security organs. Despite all these sources, the system took no initiative to protect the country and its people!

Even if the Kenyan security had such general threat information, no country can assure its citizen of 100% security. It is just naive to expect to ha a security personnel at every square metre. They did the best in such circumstance, we should not expect American style response! Should you want to inform your country's security forces of any threat be more particular if you heard someone tell them who. They will follow the lead in their own way. Suppose you heard of people planning to break in a residence, wold you think it is yours in their plan outright.
