Doing good things is normal because doing good things is expected by society. Doing good things will be praised even in the media and will capture people’s imaginations but not for long...people would need to be reminded of them over time in order to remember them.
Contrast this with evil actions: evil actions are not normal because they are not expected by society. Evil actions will capture people's imagination in a different way and for a very long time...people need not to be reminded of them for they always stand out like a sore thumb!
Even though most of us were not alive during the two World Wars, we remember and know of Hitler, of Stalin. We remember their names because they did evil things. Their actions were sufficiently impactful to traumatise a generation, and so have consequences for those that followed.
May be Adolf Hitler did do some great things for the Germans but it is a fact, nobody remembers them...who would care! Likewise Joseph Stalin may have done some great things for the Soviets but his evil deeds outweigh everything he may have achieved and who cares about them!
