Midway through the 19th century, a gold rush swept over the state of Victoria, of which Melbourne is the capital. There isn't a single ticket left for the game, which could smash records in the city.

'Los Blancos' are set to bank a grand total of€19 millionfrom the tour: €12m from the two fixtures in Melbourne and another €7m for the two in China. The club's commercial profile makes this a sound investment: for example, the company organising the games in China expects to bring in €30m thanks to the publicity generated.
