On behalf of our client a cement manufacturing company, we are seeking to recruit a highly competent, energetic, self-motivated and professional individual to fill the position of PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE SECTION HEAD. The potential candidate should be able to quickly integrate into the existing leadership team.
Minimum Qualification:
The responsible Engineer to care and servicing for the purpose of maintaining equipment and facilities in satisfactory operating condition by providing for systematic inspection, detection, and correction of incipient failures either before they occur or before they develop into major defects by applying tests, measurements, adjustments, and parts replacement, performed specifically to prevent faults from occurring.

Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering and leadership courses or its equivalent
- Over 5 years’ experience in relevant field
- Must be computer literate and fluent in speaking and writing both English and Swahili languages.
- Ready to work on a shift basis depending on the operation of the plant.
- Comply with all safety standards and the legal requirements of the country.
- Applying measurement of specific operating parameters on the condition of an item
- Ensure inspection program and any related check lists are applied.
- Apply specific inspection during a shut-down including checking play, measuring thickness, length, checking for cracks and for civil engineering, checking for subsidence of any support structures.
- Distribute the daily routine to the inspection technicians.
- Ensure that all machines are running within vibration limits.
- Efficiently manage work orders for the defected equipment.
- Conduct Visual and sound inspection to ensure that the machine is running properly.
- Supervise and aid the inspection technicians
- Provide inspection routes to all the PM technicians.
- Receive daily inspection data & comments from PM technicians showing both visual problems and measurements taken and make analysis.
- Report the expected problems to the PM sec. head for root cause analysis reports.
- Follow up the critical machines and plan checking time intervals.
- Report the PM sec. head with the required planned maintenance activities in line stoppages and shutdowns.
