Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja Tours Kampala roads, cites delays by contractors

The prime minister of Uganda Robinah Nabbanja inspected several roads across Kampala city.

Some of the inspected projects include port Bell Road, Spring Road, 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th Streets, Sir Apollo Kaggwa Road, Kyebando Ring Road, and Sentema Road

In her findings, she found out that Kampala capital city authority(KCCA) has been negligent in enforcing work given to contractors.

Following her tour around Kampala, she criticized contractors of slow works, she cited Thad projects that began in 2022 and were to take 36 months have not been completed up todate.

KCCA officials however blame the incomplete road projects to government that has failed to pay outstanding balances.

KCCA minister for works, Hakim Kizza said they are demanding government 29billion in arrears.
