During president Mwinyi's term as a president of this country a minister was suspected of drug trafficking, when he arrived in Germany he was searched, it was embarrassment for this Nation, at the time we valued reputation and diginity of our Nation. It was shame for us if somebody was caught trafficking drugs. Our current president Mr. Jakaya M. Kikwete has all the names of drug dealers; he insisted that he knew them, and he has a list. Time has gone and many young people are involved, Mr, Kikwete didn't take any action. He gave these thugs time to quit drug trafficking. While other governments punish traffickers heavily, even by capital punishment, Mr. Kikwete with his style remained quite. He had the names and young people contnued to join the trade. Mr. Kikwete belives in God and while I am writing this he maybe preparing himself for a long day opening for his evening prayer after fasting. Kikwete is costing this nation very heavy; we may not see our young people going further in their development as 10 years in an office (asa president) is equal to a gneration. But the message is this, if Miss Tanzania is caught of drug trafficking; what is the implication? This Nation has lost its diginity; it is a Nation ruled by thugs. We have thousands not hundreds; boys and girls in jails worldwide while our President is still keeping his list secret. Mnyika was right to say this is a weak president.
