The recent elections in Burundi have been widely regarded as very flawed, the EU has been very forthright on that. The African leaders too do apparently share that view as evidenced in their not congratulating mr. Nkurunziza's victory.
They do not have to send away the Burundian consulates to express their disapproval of how Nkurunzinza is running, cos surely that would be counterproductive. Even the US and the EU havent resorted to such a move, but they have openely expressed their opprobrium over the situation in Burundi.

I'm afraid you are referring to the parliamentary elections not presidential. As for the presidential elections, let me quote the Daily nation:
"A United Nations observer mission said Monday that last week's presidential elections in Burundi were relatively peaceful but had not been "an inclusive, free and credible"
It said the elections were held "in an environment of profound mistrust between opposing political camps."
"Freedom of expression, assembly and association, essential conditions for the effective exercise of the right to vote, remained severely impaired," the report said.
It faulted the state-run media for failing to provide balanced coverage to all presidential candidates.
"Nevertheless, on election day Burundians in most places went peacefully to the polls to cast their ballots," the report said.

The elections weren't inclusive since the opposition decided to boycott it, it wasn't free because people feared the attacks from the opposition members similar to the ones they experienced in the prior parliamentary polls, you know the bombing of polling stations etc.
Dissatisfaction with how the election went, does not equal not recognizing Nkurunziza as the president of Burundi. The US has expressed dissaproval with how Kagame has amended the constitution recently. Does that mean they don't recognize him as president of Rwanda? Even the UK recognizes Mugabe though they don't agree with him.
Furthermore, if a country does not recognize a president of another, then it sends the diplomats away as well as recalling theirs from that nation. Right now the US is trying very hard to reach Nkurunziza, in what capacity do they regard him?
But all that is besides the point. Let me kindly remind you that, these tribalistic opposition thugs are not protesting the result of the election or how the election was conducted anyway. Do you know why they are wrecking havoc?
