MPARD ( Mombasa Port Area Road Development) Project
This comprises of;

1.Mombasa to Mariakani highway.( Lot 1 - Mombasa kwa Jomvu. Lot 2 - Kwa Jomvu to Mariakani

2.Mombasa Southern Bypass.

3.Mombasa Northern bypass

4.Mombasa airport access road.

Mombasa kwa Jomvu highway- a six lanes highway with interchanges, a bridge and numerous underpasses.

Truly apart from Nairobi no other city in east and central africa can rival Mombasa in infrastructure.
12 Japanese companies including Toyota and Nissan have already booked their space at dongo kundu special economic zone.

If mwanza was in Kenya it would not be a city . It would be a municipality.

Mombasa actually has better infrastructure than Dar. It has a bigger port than dar, a working and efficient sgr link from the port to Nairobi-Naivasha, bypass roads to divert traffic from city centre (Dar have not even started on this), big malls etc. Mombasa can now only be beaten by Nairobi in infrastructure development no other city in east africa can match mombasa in infrastructure.
