amazing individual who influenced Christianity more than any other person short of Jesus Christ. The New Testament delineates at least fifty cities visited during his (at least) five major travels or missionary journeys. His ministry ran from 33 A.D.(when he was roughly 31 years old) to his martyrdom at the hands of Rome in 68 A.D. (at the age of about 66).
The New Testament contains more information regarding Paul and his ministry than any other apostle. We are indebted to the gospel writer Luke for recording, in the book of Acts, detailed accounts of the apostle's conversion, travels and ministry. Most of these details are not mentioned in the fourteenbooks (1 and 2 Corinthians, 1 and 2 Thessalonians, 1 and 2 Timothy, Colossians, Ephesians, Galatians, Hebrews, Philemon, Philippians, Romans and Titus) authored by Paul.
