But havent u ever noticed that geeks tend to have very little interest in sex? They tend to spend many hours studying, researching, working on some complex computer programs etc.

The Japanese are generally 'geeky'. They tend to dedicate too many hours of their time on some complex endeavours while subordinating personal gratifications.
The article above has outline that as one of the factors: pipo spending many many hours at work, arriving back home too beat for sex.

I dont know. This are questions better answered by the Catholic church and those religious groups that have barred sexual activities to its members of certain hierarchy.
