President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is set to take over the chairmanship of the East African Community (EAC) during the 25th Ordinary Summit of the EAC Heads of State held in Arusha, Tanzania.

Museveni is set to assume the regional leadership role as heads of state from member countries convene in Arusha for the summit to review the progress of regional programs and discuss the next steps in strengthening cooperation among the partner states.

Museveni is set to take over the rotational leadership role from Kenya's president, William Ruto. A position he is set to hold for a year.

As the new chairman, Museveni is expected to steer the regional bloc’s agenda over the coming year, with a focus on deepening economic collaboration and advancing the EAC’s broader goals of political federation and socio-economic transformation.

The East African Community brings together several countries in the region, including Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan and Democratic Republic of the Congo, with the aim of promoting regional integration through a customs union, common market and eventual political federation.

He has the expertise and he has always said how he wants the EAC too look like and function,
The last time he proposed that the indian ocean belongs to all of us, many people abused him but he knew what he was talking about and he was right.

This man is wise
