Members of Parliament have been refused a pat cat because Commons Chiefs think they would feed it too many leftovers.
MPs have been refused a pet cat over fears it would get fat.
Battersea Dogs and Cats Home offered to send a mouse-catching cat to Parliament to help with it's rodent infestation, after £73,522.12 was spent trying to combat the Palace of Westminster's pest problem in just one year.
According to the Evening Standard, the plan has now been scrapped by Commons Chiefs who believe MPs would feed the feline too many leftovers and cause it to become too fat do it's job.
