Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital
Location: Ruiru,along Nothern Bypass.
Capacity: 500 beds

KU,through a loan from the Chinese Government is building a teaching and referral that will offer the most advanced medical treatment and the finest ammenities. It will also go a long way in relieving presure on the largest refferal hospital in East and Central Africa, Kenyatta National Hospital.

Progress from inseption till mid-2015.

A significant component of the hospital will be the availability of tele-medicine facilities to enable doctors consult with their peers in reputable hospitals in the world for second opinion as well as giving medical advice to local hospitals. And this will also boost education.

Kenya will have its first comprehensive cancer diagnosis and treatment centre in 2017. The landmark medical centre will be a specialist cancer hospital,the first of its kind in East and Central Africa. This means that the 10000 Kenyans who seek cancer treatment in either India or South Africa at U$ 100000 annually will be treated in Kenya and will also boost Kenya's image as a medical tourist hub.

Tesla Cancer Hospital plans to provide the most modern diagnoatic facilities such as cyclotron,the first of its kind in Sub-Saharan Africa,currently only available in Egypt,Morocco and South Africa.
