Should men really rush into marriage in their 20s and 30s, or should they take their time and settle down later in life?

Media personality & Socialite Kasuku has weighed in on the debate, arguing that men can wait until the age of 40 before choosing a marriage partner.

Speaking during an interview with Innocent Tegusulwa, Kasuku said men between 18 and 40 can have relationships and children with different women as they navigate life, before eventually settling with someone they feel meets their standards.

He argued that men should not live in fear of society's judgment when relationships fail, saying people sometimes use or leave each other before finding partners they believe are right for them.

“Some people are just to be used until someone reaches somewhere and they get a person they feel is worth their standard at that moment,” Kasuku said.​

Kasuku said his views are also influenced by experiences within his own family. He noted that he has seen his sisters left by their partners and that his mother was also left by his father.

He further dismissed concerns that children could suffer because of their parents' past relationships, arguing that life's challenges should not automatically be viewed as punishment or curses resulting from women who may have been hurt.

His comments have opened up a wider conversation about marriage, relationships and responsibility.
