Greetings!
We have the following immediate vacancies for media professionals.
1) Three (3) editors for Kiswahili-language daily and weekly newspapers
2) Five (5) reporters for Kiswahili-language daily and weekly newspapers
3) Four (4) typesetting specialists, must be fully conversant with the following Apple Mac OS X software:
i) Adobe PhotoShop CS1-3
ii) Adobe Illustrator CS1-3
iii) Quark XPress or Quark XPress Passport (any version)
4) One (1) professional graphic designer, must be fully conversant with the above mentioned Apple Mac OS X software
Qualification:
For Editors and Reporters
1) Minimum qualification
- Advanced Diploma in Journalism and/or Mass Communication from
any local/national/regional academic institution in East Africa
- Fluency in both Kiswahili and English (working knowledge of
additional international languages will be an added advantage)
2) Experience
- not less than three (3) years working with any of local/national
media institution in East Africa
3) General
- knowledge of East Africa's media industry will be an added
advantage
For Typsetters and Graphic Designer:
1) Minimum qualification
- Graphic design/typesetting/page layout training from any accredited
institution
- Form VI leaver (higher academic qualification will be an added
advantage)
- Fluency in both Kiswahili and English (working knowledge of
additional international languages will be an added advantage)
2) Experience
- not less than three (3) years working with any of local/national
media institution in East Africa
3) General
- knowledge of East Africa's media industry will be an added
advantage
