** RANT ALERT**

Page 1, Chapter 1, Verse mother**cking 1. Here we go....

The lack of interesting, intellectually stimulating media in TZ. I live in the states. A place where media plays a huge part of our daily lives. Anywhere you turn there's some type of news waiting to be read by you. It's an information consuming world. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's BAD (for the most part). So it's a take it or leave it kinda situation. You can always tune off.

I am very much interested in the current affairs in Tanzania. What pisses me off, is the lack of intelligent media/reporting on current affairs. Most media companies in TZ, lack creativity. I have yet to see one YouTube show that covers that. When i try to find something in the web (websites, blogs etc...) I am bombarded with advertising blogs than actual news blogs (looking at you **MICHUZI**) and the rest are full of udaku. Now to each is own, and i understand that. I have no problem with udaku blogs(though i am NOT a fan) but is that all we can DO? REALLY? Why don't we have a satire political show? If we do, please let me know. Or is it that there isn't a huge demand for such media? Last time i was in TZ (2011) i was working with a few Americans and Tanzanians, to shoot a news segment for TBC. It was going to be a current news show, with more facts, a lot of tech information etc (something like the DAILY SHOW, or the Colbert Report) for those in the states you'd understand. And for those not in the states, google can be your friend. Anyways, to make the long story LONG! Wale watu wa TBC wakasema it's a good show, but there's no room for it in TZ. It broke my heart. Nikauliza why?... His(Some manager or producer for TBC) "watu wengi kwanza hawaeli kingereza, alafu watanzania sio watu wakujifunza vitu mbali mbali. Which made me mad, because a few group of young guys and gals i met in bongo, were pretty up to date with current events shit and what not. And we could have an interesting discussion on politics, economics etc. Intellectual discussions. When you go to websites na blogs ndo usiseme. Udaku mwanzo mwisho. What's the problem? I AM VERY CURIOUS.

So there's my anger. Ukiangalia show kama Mkasi(i stopped watching) hakuna cha maana. Now i am NOT dissing the show, i think it's great for a certain audience hence it's success. But not my cup of tea. Jamani, tunashindwa kweli? Now someone told me, hivi kama ur so pissed off at it, siunzishe yakwako. Which is true, why shouldn't i? Well for starters sipo bongo (excuses, excuses and more excuses) i consume information, i leave the creation to someone else. Maybe i am as much of the problem as the people i am angered with.

Let's DISCUSS!
