Man Who Breached President Ruto’s Security Arrested

Following his arrest for running toward President William Ruto on February 12, 2026, during the Nyota Launching Program in Wajir County, Ahmed Mohamed's family has spoken out.

His sister claims that on Friday, February 13, one day after the incident, Ahmed was taken from his house and interrogated in Wajir security personnel.

The officers reportedly told him after two days of investigation that they had not discovered any solid proof that he had planned to hurt the President. But his phone was sent to Nairobi for additional forensic analysis.

Ahmed is still being held in a Wajir police cell for 20 working days while additional inquiries are conducted.
