A woman in the capital Lilongwe in Area 18 Township has given birth to a doll, Malawi24 can reveal.
The woman (name withheld) gave birth to the doll known as 'Chidole' in the vernacular Chichewa language at area 18 A hospital this afternoon.
Our reporter in Lilongwe who was tipped of matter was not allowed to capture pictures of the doll as disbelief and dejection engulfed the people who saw the said doll but was fed by someone who had the picture.
According to some locals, the woman's husband had divorced the first wife for her.
Family members confided in Malawi24 that they suspect foul play from the old wife who wanted to avenge for being snatched off the husaband.
" All we can say is that our sister has been bewitched by the divorced lady. We will get to the root of this. We will not relent on this matter" one family member confided in Malawi24.
It is said at the antenatal clinic, tests had shown she had a 'baby'.
The woman is from Centi area and had gone to the hospital to deliver .
Some people in the ward also suspected foul play on the matter.
In situations like these, people ted to seek help from tradition doctors who among other things explain what rituals might have taken place for the occurrence. But do the objects given birth to become humans again?
About five years ago, a woman in Mulanje had given birth to a stone something which left medical personnel mouths agape.
In Malawi, such occurrences are mostly associated with witchcraft which usually emanates from various rivalries people have.
As we went to press, Health experts were yet to explain the situation.
