1. Yapo makampuni ya mabasi yatawataka mlipe pesa benki ili yawasafirishe hadi UDOM- Kataa kwani watakupiga hela halafu safari utaiona chungu. Hata wakijifanya wameingia mkataba na chuo, usiingie mkenge. Chukua basi kwa kujitegemea wewe mwenyewe.

University Profile
ESTABLISHMENT:
The University of Dodoma was formally established in March 2007 following the signing of the charter by the president of United Republic of Tanzania. The first academic programmes commenced in September 2007.
The University has been designed on a campus college mode each of which will be semi autonomous. In its structure, the university has seven colleges. These are:
- College of Education
- College of Humanities and Social Sciences
- College of Informatics and Virtual Education
- College of Natural Sciences and Mathematics
- College of Health and Allied Sciences
- College of Earth Sciences
- College of Business Studies and Law
UDOM initially started with four schools, namely Education, Humanities, Social Sciences and informatics. Currently six colleges are Operational. These are College of Education, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Informatics and Virtual Education, College of Earth Sciences, College of Natural and mathematical Sciences and the College of Health Sciences.

GOAL:
The Goal is , To increase the contribution of higher education in Tanzania's attainment of economic growth, reduction of poverty and improved social wellbeing of Tanzanians through increased access to higher education, technological innovation, generation and application of knowledge.
VISION:
The Vision of the University is to become a centre of excellence that offers value added training, research and public services.
MISSION:
The Mission of the University is to provide comprehensive, gender sensitive and quality education to a broad segment of the population through teaching, research and public services in the fields of education, health and allied sciences, natural sciences, earth sciences, informatics and communication technology, business, humanities and social sciences.
OBJECTIVES:
The broad objective of establishing UDOM is to create in Tanzania a place where knowledge will be transfered from one generation to another, a place where through relevant teaching and learning processes human capital vested with knowledge and skills for economic development of Tanzania will be produced, and through relevant research the frontiers of knowledge will be advanced and provide solutions to the people's suffering.

The Goal of University of Dodoma is to increase the contribution of higher education in Tanzania's attainment of economic growth, reduction of poverty and improved social well being of Tanzanians through increased access to higher education, technological innovation, generation and application of knowledge.
In order for this goal to be achieved the University provides first class hostels with all the necessary facilities needed by the student. There is provision of water services, electrical services and also cafeteria services for all rooms in the respective hostels.
All students are accommodated in the University hostels. Students are required to pay accommodation fee at the beginning of each semester.
All students are required to stay on campus unless they have other reasons specified in the students by laws. The university hostels have all the necessary facilities needed by the students.
The hostels are very friendly for academic prosperity and conducive for all students who wish to stay in this university.
Dean of Students and Dean of Students staff are there to ensure the well being and welfare of all the students in the Campus.

While the primary function of any University is teaching, research and consultancy, the University of Dodoma (UDOM) recognizes the value of sports and recreation in promoting good health; well-being; competitive spirit and good fellowship. UDOM has therefore, committed itself to promote a variety of recreational and competitive sports and encourage both students; staff and the entire University community to participate in these activities.
UDOM has the following sports facilities:

- Six standard basketball courts
- Two standard tennis courts
- Three standard netball courts
- One standard volleyball court
- Four standard volleyball pitches
- One Swimming pool
- Table tennis facilities.
