:embarrassed:Nearly Naked: M&S launch new range of nude lingerie to match customers' skin
3rd February 2011
While Dannii Minogue, Twiggy and Lisa Snowdon enjoy the sunshine filming the new M&S campaign in Miami, four models much closer to home have had to brave the cold in their underwear for the retail chain.
Posing in front of the Oxford Street branch in London, the girls were promoting the launch of Nearly Naked - flesh-coloured lingerie designed to suit your skin tone.
The High Street chain took skin tone readings of more than 1,000 customers and staff to develop the range of bras, £18, and matching briefs, £8.

They come in four shades and are 'almost invisible' under clothes.
Using spectrophotometer - a machine which determines the individual colours that make up the final colour of the scanned object - and information on ethnicity from the Office of National Statistics, designers settled on the four shades.
Soozie Jenkinson, head of lingerie design for M&S, said: 'Women are no longer choosing to wear white bras under white blouses and t-shirts.

'They are recognising the need to wear a neutral-coloured bra which complements their own skin tone and can create a 'disappearing act' under clothes.
'With the launch of this innovative new bra we not only wanted to create the most comfortable bra but also wanted to make sure that we offered it in a perfect range of tones to suit the diversity of our customers' skin tones.
Disappearing act: The underwear, £18 for bra and £8 for briefs, is designed to appear invisible under clothes
'We're confident that this bra is going to become the nation's new bra of choice.'
Paschal Little, head of lingerie technology for M&S, added: 'By using revolutionary new techniques we have been able to produce a wonderful product which is not only a great fitting lingerie range but also one which will suit every woman in the nation.'
