Habari za jioni!.

Napenda kuwa taarifu kuwa kuna web site iitwayo Kijijibay.com ambayo malengo yake ni kuwezesha Watanzania kuuza and Kununu bidha kwa watu ambo wanataka kuuza.

Pia tumeaaanza Kijiji Business Directory , ambayo inawezesha Mfanya Biashara Kusajili Biashara yake kwa bure kwa kutanza simu zake, jina la mtu ambaye anhusika na kampuni and web address ya kampuni, hii inarahishisha mteja kujiunginisha na biashara yako mojo kwa moja.

Pia hivi karibuni, tutaanza Kijiji Blog ambayo itawapa fursa watu kutoa maoni zao.

Yote hayo ni FREE isipokkuwa inabidi ujiunge na kijijibay kupata user name na password yako.kijijibay itajaribu kwa dhati kutanga yenyewe ili wewe mteja wa Kijijibay ufaidika na watu watakao pitia web site yetu ya kijijibay.com

Aaaah rafiki toka kijijibay bado mna safari ndefu sana kuweza kukamilisha lengo lenu, jitaidini kurekebisha site yenu iwe na muonekano mzuri .Pia ingekuwa vizuri kama ingekuwa kwa lugha ya kiswahili kama mmetazamia kufanya kazi na wa swahili itakuwa vizuri mngeweka kwa lugha yao! si mnajua kiinglish ni janga la taifa?

nasema hivi kuna kundi ambalo teknolojia ya mawasiliano inaweza kuwasaidia sana .ila watu wenyewe sio watumiaji wa TOVUTI. watu wengi wa middle class waliojiari au wenye kampuni ndogo hawajajua pportunities za ICT haza Internet. Most wana conduct biashara zao kama walivyokuwa wanafanya 1980.

Ni vizuri kuwa na number wa wakulima wa mtunda lushoto, morogoro wakulima wa mpunga kyela wakulima wa mahindi rukwa. Ni Vizuri pia hata number za madalali wa business hizi ziwe public. itawasaidia kuwanganisha na walengwa

Mfano mwingine ni wa Mjini Mfano niko mwanyamala lakini sijui nikizidiwa ghafla nimpigie daktari gani kwa ushauri wa haraka.so pia hata ukienda kwa madaktari wenye hopsitali binafsi waombe number zao za kazi ili uwatatangaze kulingana na maeneo walipo naamini hawatakataa.

Ukienda sokoni pale kuna wafnya biashara wengi lakini number zao hazijulikani waombe wauzaji wa vitu mbali mbali kama kama mchle, nyama ndizi viuongo. hawa wote sio watumiaji wa TOVUTI lakini wanaweza kunufaina nayo kwani wanaweza kuwa karibu zaidi na wateja watarijiwa kw ainfo zao kuwa hewani.

taarifa za watu kama hawa wewe mwenyewe au watu wako itabidi waizitafute uje uziingize.

Asante kwa mawazo zenu, project hiyo ni ya part time so itachukua mude kukuwa lakini mawazo yenu yame hifadhiwa for future reference ...
 
Uncle, if this is your start you probably wont get there! Such sites cannot be designed with Joomla, you need to start right from scratch if you really want to get it right. Find an MVC like CodeIgniter, CakePHP, Symphony or any other similar platform and start from there.

How many of you are in this team, how long have you been designing software?

Being a software developer for over 8 yrs now, I have plenty of advice for you guys, and I will be glad to provide you with advice on how you can work from ground up and architect your products better to capture the audience - if you are really on a serious mission.

I won't charge you though - take it as my contribution. I love participating in raising young talents.

Why not? - Joomla architecture is very scallable. Why re-invent the wheel when you can take advantage of Joomla PHP enviroment to customize your site?

please dont call me an uncle, ningependa kutumia joomla but my idea is more than ofa buisness, ninge penda watanzania watumia web to sell and buy stuff more than what they are doing hence I am strating at low scale as this is my night job.

Did I mention to reinvent the wheel? He could have a better shot with something else other than Joomla. For the kind of project he's on, Joomla is nothing but a bad choice. There are other open source scripts that are much closer to what he's working on, and the way I see it's going to cost him much more efforts than it'd have been otherwise. But since he's to live with it, best of luck!

You have said it "Ningependa kutumia Joomla", and I get you right. The project is simply to demonstrate your Joomla skills, which makes a perfect sense to me for someone who's got a lot of time to throw away. Just be of luck buddy!

Nafikiri DRUPAL inaweza kufanya hiyo project vizuri zaidi....kama nia ni kujifunza tu namna ya kutumia a Content Management System please go for Drupal yaani unaweza kufanya mambo makubwa zaidi hapa kuliko Joomla... Drupal imagination yako na kuna support nzuri zaidi kuliko Joomla...modules/extensions are absolutely free...which is not the case for most reliable Joomla modules!
 
Drupal has a superior architecture and very SEO friendly. It can cater to your needs, it can be used for a simple FAQ site or a very large million visitor site.
Here are some Key pros and cons of the two systems.
Drupal
* Rock solid & high quality platform
* Real multi-site-feature (only one installation for several sites)
* Any Kind of user groups & user permissions, OpenId compliant in Version 6
* Can run membership and community sites, not only CMS etc
* Powerful templating system. Any XHTML or CSS template can be easily converted to Drupal.
* Drupal needs a little time investment to realize all the huge possibilities of Drupal
* Clear, high quality code and API (easy to integrate with other solutions etc)
* Flexibility and no known limitations
* Many high profile sites use Drupal (e.g.: MTV UK, BBC, the Onion, Nasa, Greenpeace UK, New york observer. )
Joomla
* If you are not techy its good to start
* Easy install & setup with your mouse
* Easy learning curve
* Cannot integrate other scripts etc. to your site
* Generally you cannot create high-end sites, without investing huge amount
* No SEO out of the box, URLs are not search engine friendly.
* Server resources utilization is more compared to drupal
* Only one site per installation
* No Single Log-in to several sites
* No User groups & permissions
* More intuitive administration user interface
* Some polished modules for things like calendars, polls, etc.
* Modules cost you money

Having said that is true, you can have all those feature in Drupal, but then it will take you quite a while to get there and you will see your site's speed slowing down. Drupal is awful when regarding speed.

Drupal has so many features and you can do website with Drupal. But it is not user friendly, and I am afraid to say that the administration is crap and the technology is outdated.

Drupal used to be the best for years. As a result this attracted a lot of developers to it, creating a huge community. Obviously such a big community does a lot of noise claiming that Drupal is the 'best CMS'.

You can read all over the Web how perfect Drupal is. But the wold change every day, and the Internet too. What was excellent 5 years ago is more than outdated today. New CMS have been developped integrating the best of today's web technology. Drupal simply cannot compare with them.

People are talking about the next Joomla 1.6. Any thought about this?

Has this been your own experience au ume-copy na ku-paste mtazamo wa mtu hapa?What's with Joomla 1.6?I have used both Joomla and Drupal na opinion nayokupa ni kutokana na uzoefu wangu.

Asante for all the comments, as I said this is a part time so I just work on it when i have the time and would stick to Joomla and Noah's Classified for now, once again asanteni kwa ajili ya comments zenu.

Early programmers bado wanaisifia Drupal because they are more used to it compare to the latest CMS. Unaweza ukawa na uzoefu wa ku-drive Volvo, but the car may not necessarily be the best one for everyone.
