Kenya police shoots student dead

Kenya police has Friday shot and killed a student while attending inter-schools competitions.

The young girl was on the play ground at St. Albert Ulanda Girls when security forces gunned her down.

The police were in pursuit of an inmate who had escaped and entered the school compound.

Migori Boys secondary school were hosting regional games with the St. Albert Ulanda Girls school.

The officers who committed the act were part of security forces stationed in Nyanza province.
