And there are more to come come I assume...... We can't only rely on drones there's modern artillery for the army.. Navy also need to catch up
Anti-Missile defense systems or something of the sort, don't have comprehensive report though on which typesWen you say defence systems... Wat does it comprises of
Military procurement haiendi kama unanumiwa mahindi, who ever sale you military gear have to make sure your capable to hold all the technological secrets. The last thing they want is to learn that their technology has find its way into the hands of their enemies. Kenya haijafikia mahali wanaweza kuaminiwa na surface to air defence system let alone sophisticated jet fighters like F16.
Come to think of it, Somali is been used as an excuse to buy American light defence weaponry hata kama ni ya zamani?
What makes you think Kenya can't be trusted in such things?? Kenyans are learned my friend!! Military science, robotic engineering, computer technologies up to nuclear science, so what is a missile defense system?
Given money we can by anything including the ocean drones!
Yeah I get wat your saying.. But currently the safety of the people of Kenya comes first... That nuclear power plant wasn't planned yesterday.. It took yrs for Kenya reach where we are today.I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but the world of international defence industry doesn't work the way you think. Kenya is not even allowed to have its own nuclear power plant without permission from IAEA (which is not easy). Ask Iranian and South Africa how difficult it was for them to reach where they are today. If company like Google won't share all its secrets with Kenya, what are the chances for US Gov passing it's technology to Kenya. They don't even share all their secrets with countries like UK or France and you think they'll share it with Kenya? The only way Kenya can unleash itself from military dependency is by produce its own weapon. But before you go that far, is there enough food to feed all Kenya's? is every child in Kenya reaches his/hers 5th birthday healthy? What about social welfare safety net, is it still intact? There 101 problems Kenya should focus on rather than military procurement which we all know we're the money goes.
It's imperative that the KDF stay put in Somalia to prop up the weak govt there, for the sake of this regions stabilityImmediately after sealing the border majeshi wote warudi.. Tuwaache na mess yao
