"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has engaged in a behind the scenes diplomatic push for the incumbent to retain his position because of security concerns and emerging regional interests.

So much is at stake because apart from Kenya, the election is also of great concern to the US, the European Union, the divided Gulf states, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Somalia itself.

Whereas Kenya is for a strong regional government especially in Jubaland, the Somalia government with the support of Ethiopia and Eritrea, the so called Cushitic axis, wants a central government, a position that has created animosity between Mogadishu and Nairobi."

The Ethiopian Forces tried to take over Kismayo airport today but met a roadblock from Madoobe's forces and KDF. The situation is getting tense

Nina uhakika kenya is serving interests of US, EU and those gulf states, against her neighbours.

Jubaland is a buffer republic for Kenya. Kenya created Jubaland, against the wishes of the US, EU and other 'concerned' parties. Madobe's prospects have changed through Kenya's support. Since his days as a warlord fighting on his own against alshabaab with his rag tag militia, the Ras Kamboni Brigade.

I believe he has earned to be leader, since he has been actively fighting in the frontline with KDF

He has, and he is indeed very popular in Jubaland for joining KDF in the frontline of the fight. Kenya's support for Madobe has caused jitters in Mogadishu and worries for President Farmaajo. Farmaajo does not support Madobe but it counts for nothing, since Farmaajo's power is limited within the gates of Villa Somaaliya. Farmaajo's Ugandishu is a hell hole filled with zombies blowing themselves up each and everyday. While Kismayu in Jubaland has remained relatively peaceful since KDF took control and flushed out alshabaab. Remember that Kenya's support for Madobe is the reason he previously won the elections.
