IEBC is going to Launch a Countrywide Voter registration exercise To Register as many as 7mn people As voters

This will bring The total Number of Registered Voters to nearly 20mn...

Well Uhuru didnt like it ....soon after that he or his advisers Ordered Johos security To be Removed so Coast Police comander Nelson Marwa Removed Kilifis and Mombasa Governors security

Well Joho was in Ghana for inauguration of Ghanas president!!

Istoshe National police started interfering with Mombasa Traffic Laws to make The county govt look incompetent before its citizens so as to cause some sought of Uproar
It failed TERRIBLY

NOW Joho came Back to Kenya and Said He didnt Need Uhurus security To move around in Mombasa and true to his words Joho has been Moving around By his own Driving himslef in and out of work

Mind you mombasa Count 001 is a Semi auntonomousy Kenyan state and so are all other 47 counties IE a whole President (governor is moving around without security)

Hassan Joho's alleged arrest alongside two MPs on Friday was aimed at intimidating opposition leaders, ODM has said.

The Mombasa Governor and MPs Abdulswamad Nassir (Mvita) and Rashid Bedzimba (Kisauni) were detained at allegedly detained at Mombasa CID headquarters.

Joho, who went to visit a relative arrested earlier in the day, is said to have caused a disturbance.

ODM acting Secretary general Agnes Zani said the county chief, who is ODM deputy party leader, was manhandled harassed and embarrassed.

Zani said in a statement on Saturday that Joho was being humiliated by the government as he refused to join Jubilee and because of firmly defending his people.

"It is an open secret that Joho’s woes began the day he rejected overtures by the government and their agencies to lead a mass defection from the opposition to Jubilee,' she said.

"The fact that [he] commands massive support among the people of the Coast, for his bravery to stand against Jubilee's lies and propaganda, has made him an enemy of the state hence the harassment."

The Governor lectured President Uhuru Kenyatta for failing to launch fresh project at the Coast, a dressing down that some said resulted in the withdrawal of his security.

Zani, who is a Nominated Senator, asked the Jubilee government to serve the people equally and embrace the basic democratic tenets of fair competition at all times.

"Harassment of our leaders shall be resisted," she said, adding ODM leaders read mischief in statements by government spokesman Eric Kiraithe and the Coast regional coordinator Nelson Marwa on the security matter.

She said the statements were malicious and may have led to the arrest of Joho and the MPs.

Marwa said only those who deal in drugs require many guns to protect their trade and that Joho was only playing victim in his security withdrawal saga.

He said Joho has employed tactics in his own favour yet all governors have been affected by security changes.

Kiraithe termed Joho a a “political conman full of retrogressive thinking”, who is keen on discrediting projects for undeserved political mileage.

Kiraithe said the government was on course to achieve Vision 2030 which he noted could have remained a dream if it were not for Jubilee.

“I pity citizens of a county whose governor can introduce a new project in the name of ‘my’ project,” he said.

Joho, Nassir and Bedzimba were released after depositing a Sh20,000 cash bail. Joho thanked the youth who went to the station to demand his release.

The only move against Joho could be related to a new player in the 'import-export' bussiness (probably someone from jubelee or with alot of influence) ..... or its marwa acting on above orders toshake trees and hurt joho's financial muscle who single handedly funds like 3/4 of ODM campaign finances! wthout his money , ODM and CORD will have a big dent to fill for its 2017 campaign.

A report issued in 2010 by the U.S. Embassy in Kenya and cited in Parliament by then Internal Security Minister George Saitoti says that MPs Joho, William Kabogo, John Harun Mwau, Gideon Mbuvi and Mombasa tycoon Ali Punjani, are among the most dangerous drug traffickers in the country. The document is also signed by then U.S. ambassador Michael Ranneberger.
The report describes how Abubakar Joho and his brother Ali Hassan are in charge of a multi-million euro trafficking empire.
Abubarak is the first one of the two to enter the drug trade. In the early ‘90s he begins working in a clearing and forwarding company and later finds a new position in the vehicles business. Once he finds out the owner of the company had died during the Rwanda genocide he decides to take over and starts diverting vehicles destined to Rwanda into the Kenyan market. But vehicles soon become less lucrative.
His guts tell him to move on to more profitable business, the one flourishing in and around the port of Mombasa. Here he finds employment in a company that clears container from ships to the quay, and vice-versa. According to the U.S. report, Abubakar Joho “was the clearing agent for containers that held one ton of cocaine in 2004”.
The influence of Abubakar on Ali Hassan is the one typical of an elder brother towards his younger. According to the American document, it was Abubakar who insisted and convinced Ali Hassan to enter politics. And so he does.
A young Ali Hassan Joho runs and wins the 2007 elections as a representative of the Mombasa region in the national parliament. Shortly after, the report suggests, his career in the drug trade begins.
The report reads that the political campaign that grants him the regional political seat was founded by Swaleh Kandereni, Billy Mahandi and Swaleh Ahmed who are all arrested in Mombasa under drug trafficking charges in 2010. According to the American document, Kandereni allegedly was a major supplier to dealers in the coastal town of Malindi. Another of Joho’s influencial campaigner “was suspected narcotics trafficker Ali Punjabi”, the report reads.
It is since 2010 that the Kenyan Anti Narcotics Unit suspects Ali Hassan Joho to be involved in the narcotics trade. The report fails in providing more details on such claim. Due to Joho’s “political position and financial resources it is unclear what [Kenyan] police intended to do with evidence”, the report ends.
Ali Hassan Joho is elected as governor of the Mombasa county on March 4, 2013.
Together the brothers own Prima Bins & Pest Control, an import-export company in charge of waste management and rat- killing, based in Mama Ngina Drive, Mombasa. It is through their company that the pair move drugs across Kenya. U.S. officials also identify Israeli company Amiran Kenya Ltd, owned by Israeli businessman Andy, as a crucial actor in the criminal network.
Andy appears closely connected with a Mombasa-based man, nicknamed Adamo, one of Joho’s trusted operators. The American report insists that both Mwau and Johos have own companies based at the Kilindi port, in Mombasa, where the cargo seized in December 2004 was heading: "Some of the cocaine [from the 2004 haul] had been stored at the Pepe Container Freight Station CFS, a facility owned by Mr Harun Mwau".
