Questions from the Press are submitted well in advance, the President had all the time to prepare tangible and credible responces. Instead he chose to waste time by giving empty smiles and comments in issues that require leadership, wisdom and authority. Take the issue of building on the shoreline, he actually was wondering and seemed to fumble on the law. Gosh, where are we going?
I am failing to believe we still have eight years remaining with JK... Siamini kwa kweli.
And you experts in effective communications better tell me... What is the role of the Communications personnel: Salava Rweyemamu? How does he advice and prepare the President before the press? How do they explain the mannerisms (scratching of nose, throwing of hands etc) we see? These advisors to the President, are they really such inefficient or are they purposely leaving the President to hang, or is the President so self-fulfilling that he takes no one's advice?
This is a direct quote from a chapter in a book: Working Through Communication... Chapter 2 : Persuasion, structure and language devices; Page 22: "Avoiding speech mannerisms is a matter of thinking of how one appears to the listener and of
becoming aware of the clichés, tautologies, and fillers that have crept into ones speech...Also annoying to audiences are non-verbal mannerisms such as grimaces, table tapping and pacing up and down the room..."
I guess someone is not doing their job properly...
