Sasa je mwenzetu iDevice yako inatumia chinese language as default language?
Kama haina Chinese language as default language wasi wasi wako ni nini haswa?
BTW Geohot wanampango na wapo kwenye mazungumzu na chinese company to sell his exploits..........dont wait for dem
Mi nadhani bado hatujaelewana, it's not just about "remotely" doing anything... ni
the whole controversy and I couldn't say more about the origin/purpose of all this and the diminishing integrity, and yes I'm aware about Geohot(I listened his sound cloud conversation with the other guy) case sababu Evasion quickly realesed the jailbreak just to beat Geohot and that is why it shipped with unpatched version of Cydia from Saurik...
Let me use history to make my point:
Tunamkumbuka Charlie Miller, a security researcher who exposed apple multiple times, but let's use one case, he could "remotely" run any piece of code to an iOS device from his servers, and hapa tunaongelea an app that was in the app store and had passed apple inspections.
I gave the facebook app and Ubuntu example pia hapo juu
Let's come to Evasion, here is a piece, and this is Esser from the evaders(who also leaked the payment issue)
Esser went as far as to speculate that the jailbreak itself may have been stolen and that there could be legal repercussions. The jailbreak is viewed with suspicion since it's not open source and came so out so quickly. It took Evasion from Sept. 19, 2012 to Feb. 4 2013, or 138 days, to jailbreak iOS 6, and the process has been getting longer every year as Apple fills holes in its operating system.
The same people did this:
The story doesn't end here, though. If iOS 7 users switch their local language to Chinese, a mystery app store will appear that the Evad3rs made no mention of when they released the Jailbreak.
And again I said kuwa ingawa they worked on that still ni issue, some people when changed their language to Chinese Cydia crashed and speaking of Cydia, this is what Jay Freeman "Saurik" had to say:
So, I got no lead time on evasi0n7, nor was I asked for an official iOS 7 Cydia; I was not given builds, nor was I asked for things to test.
This Jailbreak has to be the worst in history of jailbreaks, kuna a lot of controversy behind it, I even used the Ubuntu example to make my point on "
goal/purpose and diminishing integrity" ni more than just simple hacks, ni a whole movement behind it and philosophies behind it that cannot be put to doubt by monetizing on these hacks or to include some Chinese crapware.
The community is falling apart, not serving the original purpose again but everyone's interest and that is what puts a security risk.
Evaders server can send anything to your phone without your knowledge as examples I gave above, and one can only guess what they can do with that power.
And kuhusu jailbreaking yes it depends na matumizi but at the end of the day ni tabia and a status symbol rather than a necessity.
