That was a travesty of justice.

The trial was a sham from the start.

But pulling a switcheroo at the end and convicting Tundu Lissu of something other than what he was originally charged with is an affront to our intelligence.

If an innocent man can be sentenced to prison by the powers that be just because they can, what else is there for us to be proud of in our country?

What else is there for us to be hopeful about?

I am no longer proud of this shit sandwich [yes, no longer a banana republic] republic that’s being forcefully ruled by an insecure, despicable, and genocidal murderer leader/ Samia Suluhu.

You cannot hide behind God's name to avoid accountability for wrongdoing. Human life is sacred, and speaking out against injustice and the loss of innocent lives is everyone's responsibility. God is the ultimate judge, but that does not mean people should remain silent in the face of injustice. Mockery and insults will never erase the truth or the need for justice.
