Huawei Device Tanzania recently held its first key nationwide Dealer’s Congress focusing on growth plans for Huawei Device Tanzania and the regional partners in the Tanzanian market. Held on Saturday 30th April 2016 at Double Tree in Dar es Salaam, the conference celebrated Huawei Tanzania dealers' efforts and their commitment towards Huawei Tanzania over the years.
Authorized Dealers of Huawei Device Tanzania from across the country were invited for the conference. The dealers who joined Huawei and their team came from all major cities, namely Dar es salaam, Mwanza, Arusha, Moshi, Mbeya, Dodoma, Tanga, Morogoro, Singida, Kagera, Kigoma, and Bukoba.
During the conference, Huawei Tanzania emphasized the need to support the partner’s growth, by supporting in providing big incentives. Mr Wang Guang Jun, the Deputy Managing Director for Huawei Device Tanzania announced that Huawei has announced 10% of their revenue would be set aside as marketing investment to increase and improve Huawei Smartphone products.
Speaking during the congress, Mr. Hu Xiangyang Jacko, Device Country Manager at Huawei said: "we are glad to be able to interact with the partners who will enable us become No 1 Smartphone brand in Tanzania in 2016, from our current 2nd position, where it has 22% market share (Q1, 2016).”.
To further incentivize the partners, Huawei announced a special Incentive Program whereby the top dealers will be awarded USD 20,000 and the second position dealer will be awarded USD 10,000.
Mr. Wang further congratulated the dealers for supporting Huawei and more than 50 dealers were awarded authorization certificates to confirm they sell genuine and original Huawei smart phones.
Mr. Huziangyang Jacko, Device Country Manager at Huawei also congratulated the distributors and the retailers present for their performance, continuous support and hopes for a better and more vibrant business in the coming year.
The Dealers appreciated Huawei’s efforts in improving the quality of smart phones and acknowledged the high quality of Huawei smart phones which has return rate of below 0.02%. They also re-enforced Huawei commitment towards providing original devices and supporting TCRA’s campaign to completely eliminate fake phones from Tanzania.
Huawei device also announced some of the new Huawei products which will be available in the market soon, such as P9, Mate 8, GR5, GR3, Y6pro, Y3II, and Y3 Lite to ensure Tanzanian consumers have a wider choice.
