Larry and Brin
Am sure David Filo is still regretting and wishes to go back and change things, maybe we could be having Google Yahoo combined company wright now as the Adobe guys when they purchased Dreamweaver or Photoshop from the founders. It was 1998 when Larry Page and Sergey Brin approached him for a new search engine they have developed. Actually they were looking for investors but simply Filo their friend and Yahoo chairman was not interested. Andy Bechtolsheim Sun co –founder saw the opportunity and issued a cheque for US$ 100,000 to be pumped in to the project, by the way Sun letter come to buy the database giants Oracle to form Oracle Sun Microsystems.

Stick to Google this was the time the company was born, actually it was not the first engine others used to exist. But Google came on to revolutionized the way people search things online. It was a complete new way and new experience to the users. People forgot completely about the past search engines as the famous quote “something used to exist before Google but who knows it”.
Google Doodle
In 1999, it is when the famous Google Logo was born from the so called Google Doodles. Google were changing its logo and appearance according to special occasions or events happening at that exact time, events like Halloween, world cup and so on. Actually we are seeing until wright now if you check you will see on the welcoming page of Google some tech artistic work has been done to portray the London Olympics 2012.
Some of the earliest services of Google were the Google Adwords, it started in the late 2000, and it was a complete new way of online advertisement. The advertisement were displayed on the originally advertisement free website, it was the time when the Adwords was born and it was all over on the internet.
In 2001, there comes the big one the Google Image Search, instead of being able to search for text only Google gave the ability to the users to search for the images, 250 million photos were available for search. They manage to add support for some other file format also.
The guys in the Google Labs were not sleeping, they have sniffed the success, and they become more creative and develop new things out of the Google Adwords. It was the time they come up with Google Adsence and this was in 2003. With Google Adsence Website operators can earn money through their sites. Webmasters can put unobtrusive text advertisements from Adwords on their sites and keep a part of the advertising revenue. Without forgetting in 2002 is when Goggle News started, Google News launches as a beta and taps about 4,500 sources. Four years later, an archive will be developed, using which surfers can search through news up to 200 years old.

In 2004 is when Gmail was introduced for the first time, the launch of Gmail is mistaken for an April Fools’ Day prank. The service offers 1 GB of space and a new threaded interface. Invitations to join the exclusive club command high prices in online exchanges. This triggered another great thing in the history of Google. Going public, In August, Google’s going public is an innovation in the history of the US financial market. Interested buyers can get shares only through online auctions. Hundreds of employees become millionaires overnight.

Satellite View of The Google Earth
One of my favorite quotes its Larry Page quote “If it was about money we could have sold the company long time ago and ended up somewhere on the beach”. For them it was never about money, they kept on moving in 2005 there comes my favorite Google product Google Earth, with Google Earth and Google Maps, the company conquers land and roads. The view of the world is extended to Google Sky in 2008, with which users can even explore space. Wright now several applications online they are using Google maps. In every new released android phone you will find Google Maps and it is considered to be among the most used features in the phone, by the way android is Google operating system which is open sourced.
One of the biggest deals in the history of the Web is the acquisition of YouTube. In October 2006, Google acquires the largest video platform in the world for US$ 1.65 billion, making its own site Google Video unnecessary. The acquisition of YouTube it was a massive success to the company which made other tech companies to realize the existence of the new potential player in the tech industry.
In 2007 City guide, the Google city guide was the next big thing in that year, developed from the same idea of Google maps this new idea seems to be convincing. The next high point in the project was Street View. Google enhances its maps with photos clicked by a car with 360-degree cameras on the main streets of big cities. From May onwards, instead of New York from above, you have the metropolis from a pedestrian’s perspective as well.
Chrome Browser
The game changer occurred in 2008, this is when the Google rivals companies accept Google creativity and innovation is undisputable when they came with the most flexible and fastest browser Google Chrome and the most interactive mobile OS Android which has made Samsung successful in competing with Apple’s iPhone and threating their market. Primarily goal of Android was to work in Mobile phone but recently it has been used to power different kind of devices. Google Chrome becomes available, and stands out due to its speed. Different version and compatibility levels of the Browser were developed.

Hint: In 2009, While Android-based handsets were already available when the year started; the Motorola Droid debuted in November running Android 2.0 (with turn-by-turn GPS capabilities) and took on the iPhone in its "Droid Does" ad campaign. Google also released a flurry of Android-only applications and updates to existing ones in 2009 to boost their mobile platform, including the Google Voice app (which Apple rejected on the iPhone), the amazingGoogle Goggles app, Google Maps enhancements, and Google Listen.

Google Nexus One
The year 2009 was the year of Chromium OS, Android 2.0/Droid and Google Wave. While android proof to be successful in terms of being accepted in the tech communities vice versa was true for Google Wave, it lacks attention from the people and response was poor and unexpected from Google which they later on come to shut down the product.
In 2010 I was shocked Google in the gadget business now? The Google Nexus One appeared Jan. 5 and Google never looked back. The company launched its Google Buzz social conversation service the following month as an alternative to Facebook, which in 2010 the site emerged as the search engine's greatest threat. While Buzz hasn't exactly caught on with the majority of Google users but still Google was able to influence with some other products that year.
Android 4.0 Ice Cream
Sandwich
In 2011 I like to call it the year of the cycles since it is in this year the famous cycle concept of Google plus social networking site was initially started to be held in people’s mouths. The G+ was only the product we had Google Music challenge Apple’s iTunes, Android 4.0 (“Ice Cream Sandwich”) has come as a savior to the Android apps developers who were complaining about developing apps android apps which were having compatibility issue with devices but the “ice cream sandwich” has come to bring the flexibility, the same app you develop can work in both smartphones and android tablets. Google Wallet for online transactions, Google Fiber promoting telecom industry and Chrome OS new kid in the street in the OS streets

In 2012 it is about shutting down some products, 24[SUP]th[/SUP] April 2012 is when they launch what am expecting to be their last product for this year Google Drive until this time. We hpe for more products to come currently am waiting for the Google Glasses. Let’s the evolution continues VIVA Google.
