Rais Magufuli amemteua Profesa Florens Luoga kuwa Gavana wa Benki Kuu ya Tanzania (BoT).

Rais Magufuli => Leo nimeamua kumteua Gavana katika hawa nilowapa vyeti leo. Nimemteua Prof. Luoga kuwa Gavana wa Benki Kuu mara baada ya Gavana aliyepo kumkabidhi. Prof. Luoga ni Mtaalamu wa Taxation law.

Wasifu wa Profesa Florens Luoga

Prof. Luoga (born in 1958) is a professional lawyer. He has a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B. Hons) from the University of Dares Salaam (1985); LL.M. from Queen's University (Canada, 1988); Master of International Law (MIL) from Lund University (Sweden, 1991); and PhD in Law from the University of Warwick (UK, 2003).

He was employed by UDSM as Tutorial Assistant in the then Faculty of Law (now University of Dares Salaam School of Law) in 1986; he then promoted to Associate Professor in 2005. He has held various administrative posts at UDSM, including the following: Chairman of the Legal Aid Committee of the then Faculty of Law (1993-1995); Associate Dean- Administration, Faculty of Law (1992-1996, 2003); Director of Undergraduate Studies (2005-2009), University Corporate Counsel and Secretary to Council (2009-2013); and Acting Deputy Vice Chancellor- Research and Knowledge Exchange (2013 to date). Besides, Prof. Luoga is an advocate of the High Court of Tanzania.

Prof. Luoga researches and publishes widely in the areas of taxation, human rights, law and procurement.

Huu ni Uteuzi wa aina yake ambao umefanyika leo kwa kauli tu.

Kabla ya kutangaza uteuzi huu, aliishutumu BOT kwa uzembe ya kuachia haya, akamkumbusha Prof. Ndulu kuwa mwisho wake ni December, anasema anadhani atafungasha haraka haraka.

Ningekuwa mimi ndio Prof. Ndulu, nisingesubiri tena hadi hiyo Desemba, ajichukulie tuu likizo yake ya mwaka, arudi na kukabidhi ofisi kwa Gavana Mpya.

Maana naona kama kuna mtu anataka maelekezo yake yawe ndio ya mwisho katika utendaji wa BOT, japo BOT Ni chombo huru na ni mshauri wa serekali ila serekali inataka kuwa mshauri mkuu wa BOT.
