Police at CPS Kampala have arrested four suspects in connection with a robbery gang accused of stealing approximately Shs1 billion from victims across the Kampala Metropolitan Area.
Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson ASP Luke Owoyesigyire said a Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) team, led by KMP CID Commander Birungi Beigumamu Milton, has been investigating the suspected gang.
The suspects are accused of using pangas and other weapons to terrorise victims before stealing their money.
Owoyesigyire said the four suspects are expected to appear in court today as investigations continue.
