Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence.

As far as possible, withought surrender be in good terms with all person, speak your truth quitely and clearly and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant, they to have their story.

Avoid loud and aggresive persons, they are vexation to the spirit.

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.Keep interested in your own career however humble,it is a real possession in changing fortunes of time.

Exersice caution in your business affairs for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you for what virtue there is.Many persons strive for high ideals and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself, especially do not feign affection, neither be cynical about love, for in face of aridity and disenchartment it is perennial as the grass.

Take kindly to the council of years ,gracefully surrendering to the things of youth.Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune, but do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.

Beyond a wholesome discipline be gently with yourself.
You are the child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars, you have a right to be here.

And whatever your labour and aspirations in noicy and confusing life, keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams,it is still a beautyful world.Be cheerful strive to be happy.

AHSANTE!!

Ushairi mamboleo. kwa mfano kuna a lot of repitition za rhyme "ful" Yuko sawa kabisa.
Kwa kiingereza yanaitwa "sonnet" na yana line 16.

Here is a poem by William Blake

There is a smile of love..
And there is a smile of deceit..
And there is a smile of smiles..
In which these two smiles meet!

And there is a frown of hate..
And there is a frown of disdain..
And there is a frown of frowns..
In which you strive to forget in vain!

For it sticks in the heart‘s deep core..
And it sticks in the deep back bone..
And no smile that ever was smil‘d..
But only one smile alone!

That betwixt the cradle and grave..
It only once smil‘d can be..
But when it once smil‘d..
There‘s an end to all misery!

Simple mind, hiyo poem ya desiderata I know it by heart, I loooooove it so much for it teaches me humility especially in this world we are in...

Unfortunately author wa hiyo poem ni uknown na iliandikwa kwenye 1822 kama sikosei found @ st Paul's church

Haya maneno niliyaprint na nimeyabandika ofisini kwangu.....

My other poem is 'dream deffered' by Langstone Hughes

Inaanza hivi...'What happpened to the dream deffered ?, did it dry up? Like a raisin in the sun?...

FORGET NOT THIS!
Forget not this, for so
Such heavenly joy I had, gave me pain
The life I thought could be, is death
The little love I have now is hate;
Forget not this!
Forget not this; as though
Such great travail I paid is dead
A hundred kilometers to the airport
The phone melodies to the dark, the police at gate;
Forget not this!
Forget not yet, the the true love I had, none can
The heart with such lively true intent;
From Kigoma to Mbeya through telephone
Shinyanga to Dar es Salaam on foot
Forget not this!
Forget not yet when first we met
The sweet life I had, since then
The love, the care, never will you find;
The tenderness I gave, all in vain!
Forget not this!
Forget not yet the first kiss at Mbezi
The hug, the writing on my palms
The promises, the New Year wishes
The whip, the wound below thine eye
Forget not this!
Forget not this, the sweet poems I wrote
The soft voice, tender whispers, the beautiful eyes
The painful patience in vain
What wrong did I done?
Forget not this!
Forget not then when said you love me forever
How long is it now, and will be?
To hurt the mind that to you never meant amiss
Of whoso loved you and you give him pain?
Forget not yet:

Siyo siri mfano shairi la Kwesi Brew (Ghana)
We have come to the cross-roads
And i must either leave or come with you.
I lingered over the choice
But in the darkness of my doubts
You lifted the lamp of love
And i saw in your in your face
The road that i should take.

mentor,alinirudia..............lakini ndo hivyo tena alikuwa amechelewa na maumivu yalikuwa yamekwisha, majibu yake yalikuwa kama unavyoyaona, lakini siko hivyo ni poem tu mkuu......................

BEAUTIFUL NO MORE:

Beautiful no more, sing is my heart to a maiden
Whoso loved men, who were smelling money.
For so beautiful she was; like the daisy of Eden
And her soft skin, sweet like honey.
Beautiful no more
Let my heart sing for you.
Your hips were molded, drove us insane
Your eyes so bright, full is the moon shine
The small breasts on your chest, made us look back
But your beauty has gone beyond, for the dicks you suck
Now, no more beautiful you are, but a lumpen spinster
Beautiful no more
Let my soul feel pity on you.
All the qualities we gave you, all the love songs we sang for you
All the sweet words and the weaknesses we shown you
You said nothing, but scornful words when you left in your catwalk.
The motion that whispered back mo, mo, ne, ne, money
What would we have done either, than going back on our way?
Beautiful no more
Let my tongue curse you.
Poor little maiden, was that your meaning of beauty?
The beauty of not feeling shame, when riding outdoors?
The beauty of going with everyone with money?
The beauty of being seduced twenty times a day without refusing?
The beauty of walking half naked to attract customers?
The beauty of spending a day in bed and night in night clubs?
The beauty of not knowing love, but sex?
Beautiful no more
Let my mouth tell you.
Queen, baby, honey, darling, sweetheart, were your names, but;
Where is the beauty, we used to praise?
I can only see a thinly powdered tired face
And wild lipstick painted mouth, and dry eye lashes
Dear, an angel; where have you lost your beauty?
And what should we call you; A prostitute?
A queen no more you are; but a bitch in heat period.
Beautiful no more
Let my being condemn you.

thanx mentor na ashadii........................soon a new poetry book will be out,na niliandika kama miaka saba nane hivi iliyopita ni pesa tu za kuchapisha pamoja na wachapishaji kuidharau poetry kama sehemu muhimu ya literature otherwise WHAT SHOULD WE DO???????????????????????????........

WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
What should we do
If love is dead
And trust buried?
As people love today
And hate tomorrow as they alway:
Should we say allas!
Whence our pride divorce?
A man likes a woman and woo
A woman loves a man through
A priest stands for God as to vow
Today’s matrimonial
Is tomorrow’s break-up proposal
Should I had a toast
For today’s divorce?
What do you mean
When say you love someone
Tenderly like a shinning moon
A huge wedding party in vain
A costly honey moon
Why to do all these
While the end is divorce?
As in thy heart no love
Dig not thy own grave
To be as docile as a slave
If not patient
Nor tolerant
Leave it, don’t force
For it will end up by divorce
Your love is but hate
Its foe is but jealousy
Yours is not love, but desires
Why wed if love isn’t there
And why promise, is not life?
Fool not the heavens with thy passion
Since to God divorce is not written.
