By Faudhia Kitenge,
It was not my fault or my choice to have albinism and live with it through out my entire life. But its the society's fault to create exclution, discrimination and oppression towards people with Albinism through those abusive cultural practice.
Who has the ability to test every couple GENETICALLY and diagnose the posibility of having a child with albinism and protect them from having that. Child?????? In real sense no one.
But as the society members we have the ability to discourage all forms of abusive cultural practice and create friendly environment for all people regardless of their race, genetic condition, age, gender and many other diversities.
Society perception towards something may either create SUPERIORITY or INFERIORITY in someone's life.
As Africans its the time to change our MIND SET towards people with Albinism, because everything starts with the thing called MIND SET.
It is 13th June 2016 we celebrate our day in TANZANIA. at Mnazi mmoja ground Dar es salaam.
Happy Albino's Day.
