The Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) has noted numerous fake social media accounts and other platforms advertising KDF recruitment and promising members of the public opportunities in exchange for money or personal information.
KDF wishes to clarify that there is no recruitment exercise going on currently. All recruitment opportunities are announced through public advertisements in the mainstream media, Ministry of Defence website and KDF’s official social media platforms.
Members of the public are therefore advised to disregard recruitment information from unofficial sources and to exercise caution when dealing with individuals or accounts purporting to facilitate recruitment into the KDF.

This year official announcement has not yet been done through official channels and mainstream media.
However, malicious people and fraudsters have forged recruitment announcement memos and circulated them online with an intent to defraud civilians willing to join the defense forces.
KDF have through their official social media pages, warned the public against such memos and termed them as fake.
