East Africa e passport will it facilitate free movement?

East African head of states today launched EA e passport which would facilitate international travel outside the region in addition to allow free movement within region. Questions :
-why is free movement important?

-current East African passport failed to facilate free movement within the region what features does e passport support to enhance freemovement of people across borders?
