Duties and Responsibilities
- Driving school vehicles carefully and attentively
- Regularly checking and ensuring the assigned vehicle is safe before and while driving
- Maintaining records of the vehicle/spare parts/fuel and any changes including accurately filling out the log book for each event and travel
- Timely reporting the schedule for vehicle repair and/or service
- Adhering to road safety laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Cooperating with the school authority and relevant institutions in case of any issues with the school vehicle being driven
- Following the vehicles’ scheduling and routing as directed by the Chief Driver
- Participating in St. Jude School’s holidays and social activities when scheduled
- Reporting in writing if the vehicle being driven has a malfunction or accident that prevents the planned trip or route from continuing.
- Ability to read and write
- Possession of a Driving Certificate from a recognized institution
- Possession of a valid class “C” driver’s license
- At least three (3) years of experience in driving school vehicles
- Tanzanian citizen with a National ID
- English proficiency certificate
- Computer skills
- Attach a license verification letter from the police
- Attach a copy of the birth certificate and Curriculum Vitae (CV)
- Attach a letter from the local executive or chairman
- Attach a letter from the previous employer
