Kuna habari mheshimiwa Dr. W. Slaa anapokea mshahara mkubwa kuliko katibu mkuu yeyote wa chama cha Siasa Tanzania. Kuna ukweli kwenye hili?
Sio kwamba napinga - anastahili kwani aliachia jimbo lake kwa maslahi ya chama.

CHADEMA National Party Chairman Freeman Mbowe, has admitted that the party's Secretary General, Dr Wilbroad Slaa, pockets 7m/- tax-free each month in 'allowances.'
This follows reports by some section of the media on Sunday quoting officials from the Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) , saying that Dr Slaa has been avoiding taxes.
Mr Mbowe told journalists on the sidelines of the ongoing parliamentary committee meetings in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday that all of Chadema leaders are volunteers who are hardly paid anything.
''Save for members of the Secretariat who are given some allowances otherwise all party leaders are not paid anything,'' remarked Mr Mbowe, who is also the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly.
Dr Slaa was among a handful of candidates who contested for presidency during last year's General Elections and lost to President Jakaya Kikwete.
According to Mr Mbowe, since Dr Slaa is the Chief Executive of the party, it was decided by the party National Executive Committee (NEC) that some package should be allocated for him to be able to build the party.
''We decided that since he will not be doing any other job some amount of money be allocated for him to cover his expenses such as transport, medication, housing among others,'' he said.
The Hai legislator maintained that since the amount is 'just an allowance,' it needs not to be taxed.
''It is not true that Dr Slaa is paid a lot of money as claimed by some people. What he earns is just some money for his upkeep and not his own income per se,'' explained the opposition politician cum businessman.
He said statements by TRA officials that Dr Slaa has been avoiding taxes is a retribution towards the former Roman Catholic Church priest turned politician, for 'revealing TRA's misdeeds' during his time as an MP.
Efforts to get comment from the Registrar of Political Parties, Mr John Tendwa and TRA Commissioner General, Mr Harry Kitilya, were not successful on Tuesday.
