Do we need Press Freedom that can harm Peace?

Freedom of the press has to be regulated to avoid unintended outcome that can harm peace. Peace is paramount to any country before the country achieves democracy. We saw what happened in RWANDA - Genocide. We don't need this to happen in our beautiful country #UhuruWakujieleza #DemokrasiaYetu #ChangeTanzania

Hakuna popote pale ambapo uhuru umeleta shida, katika uhuru wapo watakao toa pumba lakini watu watazizarau lakini siku zote matatizo yametokana na baadhi ya wanadamu kudhani wanadamu wengine wanahitaji kudhibitiwa na kuwa wakiachiwa huru wataleta shida. Genecide haikuwa zao la uhuru wa kujieleza bali ni zao la watu wenye fikra kama wewe kuwa jamii fulani tusipoidhibiti italeta shida.

Fikra zako ni za miaka ya late 1980's and early 1990's during colonial error.

Mkuu nimeandika press freedom must be regulated. Naomba usome vizuri hapo juu.
 
Indeed! If you propose to restrict press freedom just like they do in North Korea as the best way towards achievement of development, then your mindest belong to long gone centuries. Pole sana.

Nimeandika hicho ulichokisoma. Ni bora ukasoma vizuri na kuelewa chapisho badala ya kujibu kitu ambacho hakikuongelewa. Nimeandika Press freedom must be regulated.

This a common pretexts used by dictetor to extend their iron fist on the press and innocent citizens.......word "regulate" is abroad word that requires many questions: what to regulate who to regulate and when the regulation should be done? Dictetors use that loopholes to curtail press freedom which is bad.

I never put something like press freedom...North Korea.... When you respond to my post try to read and understand what was originally posted rather than putting something new to my post and respond to.
 
The correct word is REGULATION. if this word is too broad to represent the meaning that is the problem. Any state would not leave the press freedom unregulated.

What do you really "regulate" when press is controlled by professional journalists.....its nothing but political panic and lack of leadership confedence of our leaders.

Uhuru na amani vyote vinawezekana kuwepo kwa pamoja, si lazima ku compromise kimoja ili upate kingine!
 
terrebranche you are mixing up issues. In Rwanda the genocide was initiated by the ruling elites who didn't want to allow room for others to exercise their democratic rights. They used the press especially government owned, not the freedom of press, to perpetrate their ill intentions and incite unsuspecting citizens to kill their fellow compatriots based on their tribal affiliations.

Unataka kusema kuwa Rwanda ilikuwa na uhuru mkubwa sana wa kujieleza hadi waandishi wao wakautumia kueneza chuki zilizosababisha mauaji. Au unataka kusema Tanzania tuna uhuru mkubwa sana kiasi kwamba Musiba anautumia kupaka wenzake matope? Hakuna haki itatendeka pale ambapo mlalamikaji ndiye anayeshataki na kutoa hukumu.Mahali popote pale ambapo sheria,makosa na haki vinatafsiriwa nje ya mahakama ni udikteta.
 
By allowing freedom of expression will leave you free other advantages it enhances transparency,and accountability thus no need to fear.
