Covid-19 is viral infection pandemic that emerged in 2019 that has bought undesired consequences such as business closures, anxiety, uncertainty, loss of life etc. in dealing with it measures such as social distancing, face coverings etc have been deployed. Efficiency of these measures have been explored from time to time through data analysis.. One can see how data(technology)needs are of importance in health care.

In Tanzania however the picture is different; there has been difficult in obtaining data for covid in the media. In dealing with the pandemic, the ex-president ordered 3 days of fasting and praying which made Tanzanians believe they have won the war against corona, and these made people abandon guidelines and live as if corona doesn’t exist. It’s unknown if prayers had any effect because of no data before and after prayers intervention.

Its also unclear however why in the country that doesn’t necessarily follows guidelines for stopping covid has had no visibly mortality rate and struggling health care system which has been observed in other countries such as India, Indonesia etc who have had vaccinations and follow guidelines for covid,.that make me ask the validity of data itself how can it be used to provide insight, does it work only in some context but not the other?

I’m looking to explore all these together with topics such as ethics; do people in climate such as this of pandemic do have to know exactly all the data as it is, partially or no data at all? what is the effect of this information sharing have both on both people and pandemic overall??.
