Bila kutokomeza ama kudhibiti ufisadi mafuta yatatuletea balaa tupu.
Serikali iwajibike na iwe na good policies to promote better services to its people and to promote internal/external investment oportunities ili kila raia aweze faidika na mafuta directly ama indirectly.

lakini kaka kale "kamtambo kalikuwa ni learning experience" kwa wataalamu wetu!! isitoshe less than 1 perc is better then nothing(hapo ni ktk kila angles including ajira).

well, bottomline hapa tunahitaji refinery capability........mie nitalia na hilo moja tu!!.
....hope watajenga hiyo refinery ili kukamata market yote ya Great lakes but will never happen, sasa najua Bush alikuja kwa ajiri ya hayo mafuta tuu na hakuna kingine, smarta$$ Americans wako mbele dakika kumi na washajua kila kitu mpaka siku yatakapoanza kuchimbwa na atakaye leta story za kipuuzi ajue fate ya Saddam ni haki yake

I wish i could say this, "Please Don't touch it". Up to this moment Tanzania is struggling in variety of things. We doesn't have strong leadership which will overseas all this resources.

Nigeria wanamatatizo ya corruption and over populated, lakini Tanzania ni tofauti tuna corruption, high number of uneducated citizens and big government with less responsibility.

Rais wetu anamajukumu mengi, which i believe some of decision anazifanya Rweiymamu sababu JK hawezi due to time factor.

Lakini as long as vyombo vya kuwawajibisha wakosaji viko chini ya wakosaji, tusitegemee miujiza.. Na hili ni jukumu la wananchi wote! Everybody should play his/her part. By the way, usishangae wazee wameshasaini mikataba ya kina Mangungo na Karl Peters, mda wa mda ukifika tutaambiwa mwekezaji huyo!!!

All over Africa, natural resources has caused more misery than opportunities for its people. Nigeria, the same stories, Congo....Mi nadhani hizi natural resources tuachane nazo tutafute vingine mbadala..Maana kutusaidia havitusaidii, tunazidi kuwa maskini na wananchi wenzetu wanakufa! is it worthy it?

Ngoja ninukuu maneno ya Sheik Yemani, Legendary Saudi Oil Minister in 1973.

The Stone Age didn’t end because of a shortage of stones: the oil age won't end because of a shortage of oil.

Aminex Announces Gas Discovery in Tanzania
Monday, March 17, 2008

Aminex PLC announces a successful result from the drilling of Kiliwani North -1 (“KN-1”), offshore Tanzania in the Nyuni/East Songo-Songo licence area.

KN-1 has intersected a substantial gas column in Lower Cretaceous sandstones, the same reservoir that produces gas commercially in the neighbouring Songo-Songo gas field. Electric logging has been completed and formation pressures taken which confirm the presence of gas over a gross interval of approximately sixty metres. This vertical well was drilled to a depth of 2030 metres (6,687 ft), ahead of schedule.

KN-1 will now be completed as a gas production well pending hook-up for production and a test will be conducted to determine flow capacity and reservoir properties. Further appraisal drilling will be required to define the extent of this discovery.

Preliminary evaluation indicates a gas-water contact approximately 30 metres deeper than at the adjacent Songo-Songo Gas field. This is a positive outcome for the potential of other exploration prospects and leads in the Nyuni licence area. This deeper gas-water contact demonstrates that the KN-1 discovery is in a separate structure to the Songo-Songo field and this further enhances the prospectivity of the remaining leads and prospects within the Nyuni licence.

KN-1 also encountered minor oil shows in the Neocomian reservoir section, as well as confirming the presence of potential reservoirs in the Tertiary section at an earlier stage in the well.

The Nyuni/East Songo-Songo licence is only one component of Aminex’s acreage portfolio in East Africa, which includes the highly prospective Ruvuma Basin area of Tanzania as well as large acreage positions in Madagascar and Kenya, on all of which new seismic has now been acquired. In addition, Aminex is currently participating in the Malak-1 exploration well in the West esh el Mellahah concession in Egypt, which spudded on 25 February and is drilling ahead on schedule.

Aminex chairman Brian Hall commented: “We are now seeing the first real fruits of our work on the East African margin over several years. Our exploration team has long believed in the potential of this area, both for oil and gas. KN-1 is a totally new, deep structure which opens up several avenues for further exploration on the licence and strengthens the case for oil on the East African margin. This frontier area, where we were an early pioneer, is now the subject of strong industry interest. Credit is due to our explorationists and operations personnel, as well as to our JV partners who have made a strong technical input to this project and to TPDC (Tanzanian national oil company) and the Tanzanian Ministry who have provided invaluable cooperation from the outset.”

Partners in the well are:
Ndovu Resources Ltd. (Aminex subsidiary and operator) 40%
RAK Gas Commission 25%
Key Petroleum Ltd. 20%
East African Exploration Ltd. 10%
Bounty Oil & Gas Ltd. 5%

KWANZA KABISA MWENYE NYUZI(THREAD) NENO NI EXPLORATION SIO EXPLOITATION...msinifanye nirudi darasani nikachukue chaki na ubao!

Haya tuendelee na mada.
Jamani don't get too excited maana ulimwengu unaenda ukichenchi. Osama kesha haribu soko maana wamarekani dont wanna be tied to the Middle East Oil baada ya visanga vya September 11.
Nataka tutafakari kuhusu madini ya copper kidogo.Kumbukeni Zambia was and is the leading exporter of copper...lakini wa-Jap walifanya nini? They came and mined that isshh in thousands of tonnes na wakazitundika kwao for a duration of time.Walipomaliza shughuli za kufua madini ya copper waka-cause a fake shortage of copper..kisha waka-flood the market na copper ika lose value yake.
My thing is hawa ma-capitalist cannot be trusted at all costs especially kama hawato-benefit.Hizi ni akili za madingi wetu but guess what...it still holds true for us the new generation!

Sijui wa-Misri walikuja wakawabishia eti mafuta yenyewe yako on the tectonic plate that Egypt lies on...kutoka hapo ikawa kasheshe...Moi akaogopa kufuatilia zaidi.

Kwa hivyo tusherehekee wabongo but lets be careful na tusiwaamini hawa watu on face value!!!!

Naomba kuwasilisha.

Dar es Salaam - A confirmation of the data now being acquired in off-shore Tanzania has shown that it is possible that commercial production of petroleum oil and gas could be achieved as early as 2012.

According to Dr. Philip Nelson, the Director E&P, Petrodel Resources Limited (PRL) with licences in Latham and Kimbiji there have been signs of "flat spots' and "bright spots" which are widespread in the seismic data from Nigeria's Niger Delta, where they are fundamental to the discovery, development, and production of oil and gas
