Dar es salaam Governor Mr. Paul Makonda launches anti-Gay crackdown

Makonda gets all information from defectors the same as he did for issue of drugs.

So if you know someone who is well known in kitaa obviously they will be exposed.

Think of that boy who does interviews on TVs and radios, he could be a good source of information for Mr Makonda..
He died already I Heard his Ass was rotten

Makonda simpendi lakini kwa hili naungana nae moja kwa moja........

Kama atahitaji found asisite kunijulisha, awadake wote awaweke kwenye karandinga akawafungie mahali pamoja/ wakalime mashamba ya mazao huko morogoro under a highest security

In developed world they have clinics, hospitals and facilities to treat, help and give advice to LGBT.

Tanzania don't have these kind of things we are at the development stage of improving education system, infrastructure and economy in general to elevate our country into centre economy..

Your so called help centers are not helping anything, but only to promote the practice.

It's not an imperative idea that we should be yelling word privacy for things which obvious are not legally recognised or allowed.
That is developed gay world you are trying to mention

Magufuli's government has more issues affecting people's lives to deal with as a priority than to waste resources rounding up gays and lesbians!! MAKONDA SHOULD DESIST FROM DRAGGING MAGUFULI INTO UNNECESSARY CONTROVERSIES WITH HUMAN RIGHTS ACTIVISTS!!

The government has no right to invade its citizen's private lives as long as they are law abiding citizens.
The law does not allow homosexuality

Kweli mwanaume unainama unapigwa mkonga kwenye mnyeo na mwanaume mwenzako? Daaah halafu watu wanatetea? Hii hapana.

Hata Mm Nimemshangaa Sana Wallah

No. I am not a Gay and this I have said clearly in my previous comments. The issue here is not being gay or not as Iโ€˜m pretty sure you have already engaged in sexual intercourse against the order of nature albeit with a woman not a man... so why persecuting the minorities for the same act? Anti-Gay Law is inhumane and very harsh if not barbaric.

The governor of Tanzania's economic capital Dar es Salaam on Monday launched an anti-gay crackdown, threatening to arrest people suspected of being homosexuals.

"I have information about the presence of many homosexuals in our province," Paul Makonda told reporters on Monday, calling on citizens to begin reporting homosexuals for round-ups to begin next week.

Under British colonial-era laws homosexuality is illegal in Tanzania, with same-sex acts between men punishable by a maximum life sentence.

"These homosexuals boast on social networks," said Makonda, a fervent Christian and loyal ally of president John Magufuli.

"Give me their names," he demanded. "My ad hoc team will begin to get their hands on them next Monday."

Makonda said he expected criticism from outsiders for his hardline stance but added: "I prefer to anger those countries [instead of] angering God."

Makonda said homosexual behaviour "tramples on the moral values of Tanzanians and our two Christian and Muslim religions".

Anti-homosexual sentiment is rife in Tanzania, forcing most gays, lesbians and other sexual minorities to live in secrecy.

Political rhetoric against homosexuality has increased since Magufuli's 2015 election.

Last year the president said that everybody should condemn homosexuality, "even cows" and soon after his government threatened to arrest or deport gay rights activists.

Three South Africans were subsequently expelled for allegedly advocating for same-sex marriage. Our source informed us that a gay man from Tanzanian archipelago Zanzibar known as Ashraf Ahmed is on the list submitted to the Governor.

Aids clinics have also been shut down under Magafuli, accused of "promoting" homosexuality, while he has encouraged women to abandon birth control and have more babies.

Our nation was founded on a bedrock principle that we are all created equal. The project of each generation is to bridge the meaning of those founding words with the realities of changing timesโ€”a never-ending quest to ensure those words ring true for every single Tanzanian.
Progress on this journey often comes in small increments. Sometimes two steps forward, one step back, compelled by the persistent effort of dedicated citizens.
all Tanzanian are entitled to the equal protection of the law; that all people should be treated equally, regardless of who they are or who they love.

Mishoga mingine sijui vipi!?? Yani halioni hata aibu kutetea kuhemewa kisogoni na mwanaume mwenzie. Kundu lishalegea kabisa.pambaaaaf kabisa!
