The contested section, which includes an animal farm and two houses, is currently occupied by the former seller of the property, businessman Amos Nzeyi. NSSF says Nzeyi has refused to hand over the land despite the Fund securing the titles to the property.
According to NSSF, part of the disputed land has already been developed. However, the Fund says it has been denied access to the property, prompting the intervention of Parliament.
On June 15, 2026, NSSF issued Nzeyi a notice directing him to vacate the property by the end of June.
Isaac Ogwang, NSSF Senior Manager for Enforcement and Litigation, told the committee that the Fund has since started the process of obtaining a court order to evict Nzeyi.
The dispute over the property dates back to 2008, when NSSF acquired the land.
