Posted about 22 hours ago by Corporate Digest

Joseph Kusaga, Clouds Media International Managing Director.
Clouds Media International has been granted a TV broadcast dissemination license to launch a TV station in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). With this, Clouds has fulfilled a long time dream to launch a TV station in the Middle East.
Today is a historic moment and it marks the beginning of our comprehensive plan to take Clouds brand globally via broadcast media and OTT technology, Clouds Media International Managing Director, Joseph Kusaga said.
This platform will allow us to address a real need for those many residents and tourists whom are from the African Diaspora by not just providing entertainment value but an actual connection for the overall community as well as a link between advertisers and consumers that did not previously exist, he said.
Although the airwaves in the UAE and the Middle East as a whole are full of TV stations, Clouds Media International has found a unique niche as the stations programming will the 3.5 million residents that are from the African Diaspora.
Currently there is no TV or radio that have effectively targeted this demographic, thus creating a vast opportunity for Clouds TV International to grab the opportunity and make the most of it.
Clouds TV International will be available to viewers in the UAE via IPTV service provided by Etisalat and Du. Additionally, the station will have a vast footprint across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and Southern Europe via Free-to-Air Satellite services.
Clouds TV International will playout from the Media Zone Authority of Abu Dhabi commonly known as twofour54. Clouds will join the likes of other stations like FOX and CNN that also playout some or all of their programming for the region through twofour54s state of the art playout facilities.
In the coming months Clouds TV International will also partner with twofour54 in the production of content including the shooting and production of talk shows, series, and dramas all at twofour54s massive Musafah production facilities.
We are very proud to call Clouds Media International our very valued partner said Jamal Al Awadhi, Head of Sales at twofour54. Clouds came into twofour54 less than a year ago with clear goals and laser focus and what they have been able to achieve in this short time is no less than amazing. We are looking forward to strengthening our partnership with Clouds moving forward and are very proud to play a role in this historic project, added Al Awadhi.
Now that the license has been issued Clouds TV International will go into signal testing over the next few weeks and will be on air no later than June 15th of this year.
The announcement of the TV license has come at a time when Clouds Media in Tanzania is in a move to fully launch their CloudsTV.com OTT (Over The Top), a platform which will allow people to watch Clouds TV live anywhere in the world on any connected device (phone, tablet, computer).
Despite not being officially launched, the platform already sees thousands of viewers daily not only from Tanzania but from over 65 countries around the world, logging on every day to view Clouds TV's premium content.

Joseph Kusaga, Managing Director of Clouds Media Group.
Speaking about the companys portfolio and host of offerings, Joseph Kusaga, Managing Director of Clouds Media Group said: One of our companies, Primetime Promotions, is one of the oldest event marketing and production firms in East and Central Africa. CloudsTV, another one of our companies, targets the youth segment in East Africa. Status Communications is another that focuses on marketing and communications strategies.
These are just a few companies in our group portfolio that we feel can do well here in the GCC offering products and services to not just those of the African diaspora but to any client looking for top-notch execution. Of course, the African diaspora in the GCC is currently underserved and that has created a unique opportunity for Clouds Media as market leaders to grasp that market share.
The team at Twofour54 presently comprises three employees but a full market rollout of the entitys operation will call for more staff, according to the management.
The company plans to extend its brand, products, and services to the GCC with Twofour54 as the home base with the objective of assisting GCC-based businesses get into the African market.
Right now, we work closely with companies like Media Group International (MGI) and Intaj to help them find new business in East and Central Africa, added Kusaga.
It will take some time for the companys online plans to come to fruition. Its social media team has set up shop at TwoFour54 and is currently managing the Heineken Tanzania social media platforms from Abu Dhabi.
We have made a big initial investment to open up and have our people here working diligently, Kusaga added.
